PROCEDURE

Planning and creating great portraits involve collaboration between artist and client in a multi-step process.

- Initially I will meet with you in person or by telephone. During this time, we will discuss the possibilities of mood, setting, clothing and size of the portrait. We may not finalize these decisions until the photo session.

- I will take photographs at your location or one of your choosing. It is important to communicate as many preferences as possible. I will give you copies of the photographs for you to choose the ones that best portray personality. From these choices, we will discuss the best images to work with for the portrait. I will also work from existing photographs under certain circumstances.

- I will then go back to my studio to create a portrait that provides a lifetime of enjoyment using the finest quality materials.

- I would like to have a final sitting to refine finishing details from life before the delivery of the finished portrait

PORTRAIT FEES

All portraits are priced after the individual requirements for the portrait are discussed. Fee Range is between $3,000 to $6,750. Fees increase proportionally for half-figure, three quarter figure, and full- figure poses. Discounts apply for multiple figures in the same portrait.

Fees do not include framing, travel, and sales tax. I usually ask one third as a retainer to reserve your spot on the waiting list and secure the rate at the time of retainer. One third will be due when I begin the painting, and one third upon delivery.
